A Day At The Fair
It's the field trip we look forward at the start of each new school year. The LA County Fair. Where we explore all things foreign and domestic.
Yes, it's an educational trip but who can deny the wonderful sights and smells of BBQ tri-tip sandwiches, candy covered apples, fresh lemonade, and Bella's favorite, chocolate milk from the dairy farm. Lucky for us we are able to stay the whole day and visit the handmade crafts, feed the farm animals, and marvel at the award winning science projects.
This year, Isaiah tried his hand at milking a goat. Way to go, dude.
In other news, the holidays are just around the corner! If you're interested in a mini-portrait session contact me for details.

Riverside Portraits | Jackie
When Jackie contacted me needing standard head shots for a commercial project I was happy to work with her.
Jackie's a sweet young girl with more talent in her left pinky than I ever had at her age. I mean, instead of learning musical instruments and singing at special events I was trying to figure out the dance steps to Thriller.
Once we finished the standard shots, we quickly moved around the area to capture a few relaxed
images. I posted a few favorites...

Jackie, you're beautiful! I wish you many opportunities and success in your future endeavors.

Austin and Kelsey | Married
Austin and Kelsey were married in Chino, CA. Surrounded by family and friends who traveled from near and far. They laughed, cried, and then laughed some more. It was a day of happy union to come together and celebrate two people deeply in love.

One of my favorite captures of the day...a picture of an elderly couple holding hands in expression that LOVE conquers all...
Austin and Kelsey smiled this big ALL DAY and made my job that much better!
And what would a wedding party be without a sense of humor? I said, relax and be yourselves...and they DID!

Austin and Kelsey are both music teachers and wanted to incorporate this into their wedding details and make it their own. I especially loved how they used instruments to label their guest table seating assignments, so cool.
Austin and Kelsey, many thanks to you and your family for all your kindness, hospitality, and care you have showed toward me in documenting your beautiful journey together. Wishing you many years of happiness!

Annenberg Community Beach House Wedding | Elisheva and Peter
This wedding season has given me many opportunities to shoot in some colorful and scenic locations around Los Angeles. And of course, the beach cities. So, when I was offered the job to second shoot in Santa Monica Beach for Karen Barnes Photography, I happily accepted.
Elisheva and Peter were married at the historic Marion Davies Guest House at the Annenberg Community Beach House. As the hour grew closer the two story house was slowly filled with their closest friends and relatives for a unique and intimate outdoor ceremony.
The Groom awaiting ceremony time...
Here comes the Bride...

And the cocktail hour...
The happy couple...

Karen, it was my pleasure to assist you in documenting the beauty and lives of such fabulous couples in LOVE. Thank You.

Laughter
While the whole wedding day is absolutely amazing, there are some moments that especially impress my heart after a long day of shooting.
For example, the moment when the guests stand to their feet and see the Bride for the first time. The sentimental toasts to the Bride and Groom. And my favorite...laughter. The kind of laughter when it's candid and unexpected. The kind that makes memories. The kind that says "I love you".
There is nothing more beautiful on a Bride than her smile and much laughter.
Happy Saturday!

Peekaboo
Where's Jeanette?
If you follow this blog, you might have asked yourself this question. As I have asked myself just where does the time go?
Lately much of my time has been given over to community projects, field trips, and end of the school year hoopla, which I'll share more about in the coming days. Meanwhile, here's a picture Robert snapped with my camera of me being...well, ME.
And so, HERE I AM.
San Diego Zoo. 2010.
