Sierra Lakes Wedding | Michael and Nicia

Michael and Nicia were married this month at Sierra Lakes Golf Club. The outdoor wedding ceremony provided a beautiful landscape view of the San Gabriel mountains. With the warm sunset and cool breeze it was the perfect Fall day for exchanging vows.

For Michael and Nicia, this moment was a dream they have waited in faith for a very long time. A milestone and testament of good things do come to those who wait. I was honored to be a small part in documenting their big day.

Nicia surprised me with this very cool custom made hangar that read, "Mrs. Montenegro". I was doing the happy dance when I saw how picture perfect her dress looked hung from it.

Here is where I love to photograph the "First Look", before the ceremony. Though this is an optional choice, it's important that the bride trusts me in allowing me to photograph them before the ceremony in the best sunlight available for romantic portraits. This saves us extra time after the ceremony which is reserved for family and wedding party photos as well. In addition, this is most likely the only time the bride and groom will be alone together the entire day, so they appreciate this time as much as I do.

Nicia, you are gorgeous!

Express yourself! His and Her comfortable shoes for only the best of occasions. Love it.

Beautiful floral details created by Jessica Stovall.

A celebration wouldn't be complete without the sweet and fancy dessert table treats from Hunneedees Bakery. Deana is the best and takes wonderful pride in her crafty goodness.

Perhaps my favorite shot of the night - the garter toss!

Congratulations and best wishes to Nicia and Michael. May your lives continue to be filled with love, laughter, and all the tender moments in between.
Hugs,
Jeanette

Alta Loma Wedding | Bob and Daphne

Bob and Daphne shared an intimate summer garden wedding at an Alta Loma residence. The ceremony was made extra special by the wedding vendors involved, all personal friends of Daphne, including me.

So handsome, Bob is a pleasant and gentleman looking very stylish...

A special thank you to Diane Lakin, who worked tirelessly on all the floral and decor details, absolutely beautiful!

Bob and Daphne, it was my pleasure and special honor to be a part of your lives and celebrate alongside of you. Congratulations on your new chapter together.

Laguna Beach Engagement | Michael and Nicia

Nicia's Mom, Diana, met Michael first who was an usher at the time in their local church. He faithfully served the church body each week. Diana soon knew they would be a good fit for each other so she introduced the two of them. Casually Nicia and Michael would spend blissful time together which included memorable bike rides and sunsets on the beach. Naturally, the beach was a perfect choice to document their wedding engagement to each other.

Our first stop, Casey's Cupcakes of course!

Nicia, you are so gorgeous!

It was a beautiful day at the beach, looking forward to the big day!

Joe Vigo Guitars

When my husband asked me if I wanted to learn how to play guitar, I politely declined. You know, me and rythym don't get along...SEE, I can't even SPELL IT. Rhythm. There.

Joe Vigo is a man on a mission to make the coolest relic guitars in town and I was happy to work with him on a photo project to showcase his fine instruments.

Counting My Blessings

This morning, I woke up thankful, extra thankful. For all things, great and small. The fresh coffee my husband served me, the loving kisses my children gave me, and the freedom I am given to enjoy it.

There was a time when I could not imagine a future with so many opportunities. I sometimes feared I would only be qualified to do a job I hated while living a life of regret. Today, I create wedding images that make people laugh, cry, and smile, all at the same time. What an honor it is to serve, to give, and to tell someone's fabulous love story, with no regrets.

A self portrait of me with my friend, Cindy, in the mirrored elevator of the Mission Inn, Riverside.
I came across this photo the other day while searching for a file. A reminder of how happy I am and to count my blessings.

Happy Friday!
