Kissbook Goodness

My first experience attending a wedding photographer convention was at WPPI in Las Vegas. It was described to me as the super bowl of the wedding photography industry. I remember walking the trade show floors filled with wall to wall booths of album company vendors from all shapes and sizes. With each page I turned and book I inspected there was only one book company that remained practical to me in every way.

KISS Wedding Books has been the perfect fit for my business. I'll share with you a few images of David and Becky's wedding album that I recently delivered.

Below, is a 10x10 size album with 40 pages. These pages are 2mm thick.

Made of 100% natural full grain leather and delivered in a special swanky designed cloth dust cover.

Shown below, in the center of the book there are no gutters. Just a beautiful lay flat quality.

Albums are available in three sizes and seven colors. Simple.
Shown below is 'Smoldering Brown' leather goodness.

There are seven swatches of different colors shown in my post here.

And the truth is...I really didn't have to go all the way to Las Vegas to find KISS, the company is based right here in Southern California. Sweet.

A Birthday Blessing

Someone once said to me that grace is like getting something you don't deserve. For the past 15 years I have been on the receiving end of what I can only describe as a cup that continually over flows. Robert gives and gives...then he gives some more.

Robert supports me as a creative artist, he cheers me on when I take risks, and lovingly counsels me when I need it most. My business would not exist without his partnership.

Dear Robert,
wishing you a birthday cup filled to top and spilling over with blessings returned to you a hundred fold for all that you do, all that you are, and all that you GIVE.

This is our silly self portrait taken in front of a deli mirror in lower Manhattan, New York.

Splish Splash

With the clouds and rain come the pitter patter of little feet splashing around in almost every puddle within reach of her Disney size 13 shoes. At least they're her backyard shoes and outfit. Go, run, splash I tell her. She's only little for a short time...

In other news, I'm looking forward to shooting today at the C28 Concert in Temecula. Come on out today if you dare to brave the rainy weather. I'll be the girl with the camera having the bad hair day pitter pattering through the puddles in my Converse.

EDIT: Due to rain the concert has been rescheduled for next Saturday March 6th, full line up. See you there.

Cap and Gown

If I had to close my eyes and picture her, this is the expression I would imagine. Marissa is the girl with the smile. The really big smile. The kind of smile that is contagious. The sort of smile that makes your heart smile.

I had the opportunity to photograph our friend Marissa for a graduation project and this is her sneak peak for what is to come.

Etiwanda Gardens Wedding | George and Sarah

George and Sarah were married at Etiwanda Gardens. Such a fabulous couple whose hearts were ready to burst with happiness on their wedding day. And when they chose to have a "first look" in order to allow for pictures to be taken before the ceremony, my heart was filled with happiness too. It was a warm winter afternoon as the sunlight was beautiful and love was in the air!

The "first look".

Sarah, you are gorgeous!

What every hip and cool groom needs to complete his tuxedo...a black pair of PF Flyers!

A beautiful cake with a very cool cake smashing moment, YES!
George and Sarah, may you live, love, and laugh for many years together.

Mission Inn Wedding | Jeff and Lilia

Jeff and Lilia were married on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon at the one of the most historic venues in Riverside. The Mission Inn. A true Historic Landmark filled with history and art.

It was my pleasure to walk the grounds and document Jeff and Lilia's long anticipated day as they too became a part in history of this unique hotel.

Engraved inside the rings - Corinthians 13.

These gorgeous flowers were provided by Maranatha Flowers.

This particular photo was a simply a result of the guest using flash on their camera at the same time I was taking the shot. I like it!

My favorite photo of the day.

Congratulations to you Jeff and Lilia! May your years together be filled with much love and happiness.

Redlands University Engagement | George and Sarah

When I first met George he struck me as a joyful kind of guy. And each time I saw him afterward he was always the first to say hello and reach out his hand for a handshake. I liked George.

So, naturally when I heard he had become engaged to his beautiful girl, Sarah, I was happy for him. And when they asked me to photograph their wedding day, I was thrilled.

George is currently a student at the University of Redlands, so what better place to walk, talk, and document their time together as a couple...
