Smile

We sat in the kitchen enjoying our favorite combination pizza topped of bell peppers, sausage, and mushrooms when suddenly Bella yells my tooth! Where's my tooth!? We looked down at her plate and there it was, a little white fallen tooth. Her first fallen tooth!

I realize she's not a little baby anymore and the thought of it make me sad but on a lighter note I smile at her growing milestones. For example, when she writes her name, or sings the alphabet while skipping on our walks with Chi Chi.

I watch her and I smile.

Breathing In

Robert and I started off the summer by hanging out at San Onofre Surf Beach with the kids for a day of sand, surf, and a barbeque topped with chocolate smores around the fire.

We sat in our beach chairs and breathed in the salty air as the kids explored the beach filling their sand buckets with sea shells, hermit crabs, and other interesting miscellaneous items. In spite of the weather being overcast, it didn't slow down any of the surfers or Randy, my-brother-in-law and wonderful host, from coming out!

Pictured above is my brother-in-law Randy and his longboard...breathing in the ocean.

Honoring Dad

Sometimes I don't give Robert enough credit for all of his sacrifice, devotion, and affection that he so generously gives to the us, okay, maybe more than sometimes...eek!

So, this year I encouraged the kids to make a more personal card for their Dad by expressing themselves on paper with pencils, markers, and crayons, nothing fancy. They happily agreed.

Isaiah drew detailed pictures inside of army men, basketball, and darts, all the games he and dad like to play together. Savannah wrote about how her dad is her favorite rockstar, while Bella drew a stick people picture of her dad wearing a crown and her wearing a beautiful dress. She announced as-a-matter-of-fact to me that her dad is the king and she is his princess!

Robert, Happy Fathers Day to an honorable man, we love you and we appreciate you. Thank you for your love, patience, and leadership in our home. XOXO

David and Becky Enagaged

David and Becky were sure they were meant for each other from the very beginning and to me it showed in the interesting way they humored one another. As we walked in the afternoon sun through the lush botanical gardens of the Huntington Library, there were plenty of spontaneous jokes, playful gestures, and horse play. I loved it.

Peekaboo!

Don't you just love Becky's curls? Cute!

But her laugh is even cuter!

Fun fact: Becky has some crazy jiu jitsu skills!

David and Becky, looking forward to your wedding day this summer!

Tuesday Tidbits #3

Tweet Deck - I came across this handy dandy browser application that allows me to connect with my contacts across Facebook and Twitter all at once so I can stay organized and up to date!

Starbucks - As most of you already know, I LOVE coffee. Organic shade grown Mexico blend is now my new favorite bean to brew thanks to my friend Heather!

Spirit West Coast - Robert and I had a great time supporting Savannah with her church choir group who performed in San Diego for a three day weekend festival, we were so proud of her!

Savannah is pictured here with the mic...

Happy Tuesday!
