Bobby And Tara Married

I am really enjoying the wedding season so far this year, especially when I can spend a springtime Saturday near the sandy beaches in the beautiful warm sun. So what if I'm wearing black, the cool breeze on my face and the smell of salt air is still sweet!

I recently traveled to Huntington Beach and harbor to second shoot Bobby and Tara's wedding with Eddie Roman. They were so much fun to hang with and Tara looked so happy in her white gown with designer pink socks and sparkled Converse shoes! The bridesmaids were sporting their own Chucks too. She smiled the whole day, it was fabulous.

Here are a few of my favorites images...

Angel And Malinn Married

The Mission Inn at Riverside is a favorite wedding venue with a historic background dating back to the late 1800's. I was excited to finally visit and photograph this beautiful hotel.
Not long ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot a wedding for my friend Rowena Curtis. We always have a great time when we are able to shoot together, in fact I think it's the best choice for a bride when she chooses to have a second photographer documenting different angles and details of her most special day.

The first look!

Thanks again Rowena!

LA ZOO

This week, our field trip adventures took us to the Los Angeles Zoo where we joined our home school group for some educational fun. We saw everything from the colorful perched Parrots to the lazy sleeping Bear. And if you ask the kids, what the best part of their long and unexpectedly warm day was, they might just tell you the ice cream cones!

Stuart And Erika Married

Last month, I took a nice long scenic drive down Pacific Coast Highway into Malibu where I was a second shooter for Karen Barnes. The day was nice and cool with a layer of overcast clouds, and despite the gray skies, I was reminded once again why I love southern California weddings.

Thanks Karen, it was nice to see you again!

From The Mailbox

It's always a pleasant surprise to me when a client is thoughtful in sending me a wedding invitation, thank you note, or a save-the-date notice even though I am the vendor/wedding photographer.

Most of my clients are first my friends or acquaintances before they become clients who contract my services for wedding photography, so it's the best of both world's to not only be a witness of the celebration but to tell the story through the lens of my camera as I document the couple's glorious day as it unfolds.

I received this save-the-date card in the mail of Jason and Melissa's wedding this summer, it's a picture magnet from one of their first dates. Cute!

I cannot wait to shoot their engagement session next week in LA.

Tuesday Tidbits

Ecclesiastes - A must see. Over the weekend I visited the LifeHouse Theater in Redlands and was so impressed by such a talented group of performers and creative artists. I hope to see it one more time before the production is over!

Canon 50mm f/1.4 - For sale. My favorite lens. Sharp, fast, and complete with caps, box, and a new Heliopan UV lens filter. 14 months old. I recently upgraded to the 50 1.2 lens.
Email me if you're interested at jeanette@jeanettesanchezphotography.com

EDIT TO ADD: The lens is SOLD.

Workshop - This week I'll be attending the "I Photoshop People" tour hosted by JB Sallee in Los Angeles. I went to his other workshop last year, the "I shoot People" tour, and liked his style and techniques. I'm excited to attend again and learn more from the Sallee's this year.

Kids Praise Choir - The KPC kids at Harvest church were once again spectactular on Sunday at the grand opening of the new children's theater. They sang, danced, and performed a musical drama for hundreds of kids in attendance. I was so proud of them!

Like all proud Mom's, I included a photo below with my daughter, Savannah, pictured in the foreground singing in the orange t-shirt. She must take after her Dad because I can't even sing happy birthday and carry a tune!
