Rich and Nicole Married!

This is the day Rich and Nicole have been waiting for. Since being first introduced by mutual friends, the moment has arrived. The first day of the rest of their lives as husband and wife.

Rich and Nicole celebrated their wedding day at Paradise point Resort in San Diego, CA.

See more images in the SLIDESHOW HERE.

Nicole's beautiful bouquet and floral details were designed by Paradise Delight.

I love the tender moments between a wedding couple and their parents. Nicole is pictured here showing affection to her new Mother-in-law.

The cocktail hour was set up outside the reception room complete with custom lounge furniture and a two piece live music set. After dinner, this area will serve as a cigar lounge!

So many details, everything looked amazing thanks to wedding coordinator Ashley Yotter and her assistant. The candy table was my favorite!

So, you caught the garter and now you're feeling lucky...how about a game of Blackjack or Roulette? Sun City Casino was here in full force to keep the wedding guests entertained!

The Baytown Band kept us grooving to all the favorites of the 60's big band and beyond, they were awesome!

Thank you Rich and Nicole for allowing me to be a part of your day, it was absolutely stunning!

The Photobooth

I second shot a wedding with Eddie on Saturday in Orange County, where there was a beautiful sunset, a nice ocean view, light sea breeze, and the clinking of champagne glasses. And yes, a photobooth. What can I say? I'm a sucker for these.

Yeah, don't we just scream the word professional?

Happy Monday!

C28 Northridge Concert

It was my first time visiting the Northridge Fashion Center, and Northridge for that matter. I was raised here in Southern California all my life and somehow I always assumed that Northridge was sort of a border town of Pasadena. It's so not. But it was worth the extra drive!

Each time I am asked to photograph the C28 Ministry Outreach events I seem to come away with new experiences, new friends, and a new purpose in my heart to do what I LOVE to do.
I read recently where a well known photographer stated "If you photograph with your heart, your work will always be your own and nobody else can copy it". I like to think that I shoot with my heart.

Seventh Day Slumber rocked the house and hit home with their testimony and song writing. You may remember Josh Schwartz, bass player, here on the blog from his wedding post last year. Well, it's a year this month - happy anniversary Josh and Amanda!

Published!

I had the opportunity a few months ago to work with Azusa Pacific University for the summer issue of their campus magazine. The photos were published in the article titled "The Pink Dot: The Truth Behind Organ Donation".

The subjects I photographed were real life organ donor and recipients. I remember the conversations that they shared as I was shooting that day, and how inspiring it was to learn how their faith brought them through the natural emotions and risks one would have in dealing with such circumstances.

Note: I cannot take credit for the cover photo, that's just for reference!

Allan and Nova

What I like the most about second shooting in a wedding, is having the ability to document those small details that may or may not be captured with only a single photographer. It could be a facial expression, a special decoration, or most of the time a personal moment. And for the bride and groom, those all count as significant highlights in their love story unfolding throughout the day.

I second shot Allan and Nova's wedding in Redlands, CA., for Eddie Roman Studio. And I looked for a few of those details with the Eddie's new Macro lens!

Have a great weekend!

The Freedom Tour

FREEDOM. I love that word. And if David Jay and Jasmine Star can teach me a thing or two with how to incorporate the meaning of the word freedom into my skills, business, and life, then I'm there!
Tonight I'll be driving out to LA for the Freedom Tour with my friend, Rowena. I mention her because it's work related events like this that give us a reason to hang out and just be girls. We can sometimes lack that with a family, home, and business to run. Do I hear an amen?

So, if any photographers are reading this, I hope to meet you there!

EDIT TO ADD: Check out the slideshow from the LA Tour on David Jay's blog HERE!

Isaiah celebrated another birthday last weekend filled with health, happiness, and Lego Star Wars. He was so excited to host his birthday party at the Lego Store with his little buddies, Adrian, Adam, and Ryan. And his best bud, Dad.

Happy Birthday son!
