Happy Monday

This morning I woke up to the sound of rain drops and gray skies outside my window. Before my feet could hit the ground my mind was already racing with 'things to do' and the reality of Monday morning was setting in all too fast. Frustrated that the time was already passing me by and wishing there were more hours in a day, I didn't want to disappoint and worried if I already had.

All that to say, somewhere in my quiet contemplating I came across the words to this wonderful song...I want to share it with you.

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart

Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are

I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours

- Casting Crowns

Sometimes we try to be everything to everyone, wondering which hat to wear in every situation. In this song I am reminded of who I really am.

This photo was taken of me in Harlem, New york 2008.

Happy Monday!

All that is within me cries, for you alone be glorified Emmanuel, God with us! My heart sings a brand new song, my debt is paid these chains are gone Emmanuel, God with us. Such a tiny offering, compared to Calvary nevertheless we lay it at Your feet.

I love that song and it always puts in my place. Praise God that you do not hide your faith.
